Do both parties need to have this software in order to have an encrypted conversation?
Yes, SecureVoice GSM is an end-to-end encryption software. Both parties need to have SecureVoice GSM installed on their respective Nokia handsets.
Can I still make normal calls to people who do not have the SecureVoice GSM software installed from the same GSM number?
Yes! SecureVoice GSM does not, in any way change, modify or compromise the standard functionality of your cell phone. You can make normal calls to people using the standard phone application which came with your mobile phone.
What is wrong with default GSM encryption? I thought that GSM was secure...
There are many issues with security on mobile telephone networks. GSM is not as secure as many may think. Although it does use encryption, this did not result in strong security. As a result, it is possible to intercept and decrypt GSM communications. More information on GSM security can be found here
Is it possible to decrypt my calls if I am using Secure Voice GSM?
No modern hacking and/or decryption techniques are capable of decrypting calls made using Secure Voice GSM software. The software uses a very strong encryption algorithm (1024 bit RSA) which is very unlikely to be hacked in the next hundred years. The hardware does not exist today which will allow to successfully attack on a 1024-bit key. It is important to understand that absolutely no one is able to decrypt the encrypted signal, not even the developers of the Secure Voice GSM software.
Can I install your Secure Voice GSM on my own Nokia phone?
Absolutely! Our software can be installed on your Nokia phone (please see the list of all compatible phone models here). Simply transfer the software via Bluetooth, or USB data cable. Installation process takes a few seconds and is very straightforward. If necessary, we will then guide you through a trouble-free installation, and work with you to keep everything working smoothly.
Will your encryption software work on my GSM cellular network?
The answer is yes, as long as the DATA CALL (CSD) service is activated on your SIM card. To use this service you will need to ask your service provider to enable it for you (if it is not already activated by default).
How good is the audio quality of a Secure Voice GSM phone call?
The audio quality is comparable to standard GSM voice communications.

Can I install the software on other phones?
No. We generate the software file based on the unique IMEI (serial) number of your cell phone, therefore, the software will not work on other mobile phones. If you wish to install our Secure Voice GSM software on another phone, you will need to purchase a new software license.
How do I transfer the software file to the target phone?
You can transfer the software by either bluetooth or by using the usb cable supplied with the cell phone. We recommend using Bluetooth as this is the quickest and easiest method, which takes only seconds to install. For support with installation simply email us anytime and we will guide you through it.
What is an IMEI number?
This is the 15 digit identification number specific to your mobile phone. Every cell phone has a unique IMEI number. By pressing *#06# on the phone's keypad, it will display the IMEI or alternatively take a look behind the battery compartment where the IMEI is printed.
